Hello everyone! Here are some of my favorites from this November–I have been loving all of these!

FASHION ITEM

I have been loving this slim-fit, cream, snap pullover from Patagonia. My boyfriend got it for my for our 2-year anniversary, and I have been wearing it so much recently. It is SO warm!

I have been absolutely in love with wearing this scarf from Marley Lilly. Blanket scarves are an essential for the fall/winter time. I just got 2 new scarves from Finishings for Her and I can’t wait to show them to you!

MAKEUP/BEAUTY ITEMS

I recently purchased the lipstick ‘Rebel’ from MAC.It is so pretty on. It is the perfect plum shade for the fall/winter. I have been wanting to get this for quite some time and am happy I did!

CATHOLICISM

My next 2 favorites have been life-changers! I have been doing the 54-day novena with my sweet boyfriend of mine. It has truly transformed our lives. As for the 33 days of Morning Glory consecration, I have been doing it with my FIAT group and I have absolutely fallen in love with Mamma Mary–which has brought me so much closer to Christ!

EVENTS

HOLY MOLY! I have had so many things happen this month–but here are 2 of my favorite memories! First of all, I got to see BEN RECTOR in CONCERT! He came to our college and my oh my– what an angelic voice he has! Finally, we just had our lighting ceremony at our college and we got hot chocolate and cookies–and it set me in the mood for Christmas–which leads me to my next favorite!

DECOR

Let me just tell you–it was so fun to decorate my room for Christmas–even if I will only get to enjoy it for 2 weeks! My tree is from Walmart, and my ornaments and garland are from Target!

Fall Fashion: Styling My Favorite Skirt

I am so excited to be finally posting about some of my favorite pieces for this fall! One of my favorite skirts is from J.Crew, and it is the Pleated Mini. I have one in almost every color, and I wear them all the time in so many different ways. Today I will be showing some of the ways I have styled this skirt! It is such a good piece to have–the quality is great.

Pleated Mini Skirt in Plaid

I decided to pair this skirt with one of my favorite oatmeal sweaters from Old Navy. Because it was not cold outside, I did not put a button down under this, which would be a must when it gets colder here in Kansas! I also paired this with my favorite booties from Lauren Blackwell (similar), which have a pillow-like feel in the sole of the shoe and they are so  comfortable! I also wore a gold statement necklace from Tilly’s, that I got on clearance this summer! Get this skirt here! 

Pleated Skirt in Black

I decided to pair this skirt with a simple white button down from Old Navy and paired it with one of my favorite jean jackets from Aeropostale (similar here). I paired it with one of my favorite pairs of loafers from Pay Less–which are so comfortable! I have been loving the look of denim, black, and animal print–so I thought this look represented this trend today. I also paired it with the tassle necklace (on major sale) from Prep Obsessed that they sent me which I have been loving lately! You can purchase this skirt here! 

Pleated Mini Skirt in Red

This is one of my favorite looks–because it is my school colors! I paired this red pleated mini with a black and white stripe tunic from Gap (similar here)! I wore one of my favorite black lightweight cardigans from Target–i love how long this is! I paired this outfit with one of my favorite necklaces that looks EXACTLY like the Kendra Scott ‘Rayne’ Necklace but is actually from a small boutique in my hometown called Simply Chic (they have such cute stuff!) I finished off this outfit with a pair of black booties from Old Navy that I have been wearing non-stop! This skirt is no longer available because I got it on clearance from J.Crew Factory, but here is a link to similar skirts (all on sale!)

Pleated Linen Mini in Navy

This final pleated mini I paired with a navy and white plaid shirt (so soft) that I got from TJ Maxx (similar here) a few weeks ago! I then paired it with a burgundy/maroon cardigan from Gap (they have some AMAZING sales right now,  got this cardigan on sale!)! I then wore my favorite chestnut colored riding boots from Charlotte Russe! Finally, I finished this look with my favorite pearl-layered necklace from Prep Obsessed! These are some of the ways I love to style these skirts. Although these skirts are not “cheap” they are so worth it. They are so comfortable, modest, and they work with so many outfits. You can wear them in every season- from scorching hot to snowing weather!

Main Goal: When i am promoting fashion, I am not doing it to ‘show off’ my clothing, but rather to show how clothing can be styled to show how modest fashion is appealing in order to promote authentic femininity. That is my main goal, and I hope I am accomplishing this for whoever is reading this right now!

Fall Favorites!

Hello everyone! I have decided that not only am I going to blog about the lovely Catholic faith, but am also going to start blogging more about fashion and lifestyle topics! Today I decided to an exciting post–exciting because fall is my FAVORITE season and I have so many favorites to share with all of you!

Favorite Scent, Lip Color, Drink, Blush, Fashion Trends/Pieces, Fall Movie, Fall TV Show, Thanksgiving Food, Halloween Costume, and Blogger!

My favorite scent this fall has been the Pumpkin Cupcake scent from Bath and Body Works. I miss buying so many fall candles from there this Fall–because I can’t have them in college. I would highly recommend getting a wall scent plug-in for your dorm. It makes your room feel more cozy!

I have been loving the Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in the shade ‘Blind Date!’

I am wearing the shade here and have been loving pairing this lipstick with a bright pink lipstick from the same collection called ‘Nouveau Pink!’

Here is where I become a typical white girl–because the PSL has been my favorite drink. I have it with soy milk and it is SO yummy for the fall. I love grabbing it from our coffee shop at school after classes!

This has been my favorite blush color for this season. It is included in the Lorac Pro to Go Palette, which is how I found out about it! You can buy this color separately- and it is called ‘Pink!’ (i know, so creative!) It is the most beautiful shade on–not too harsh but it gives the skin an amazing glow!

One of my favorite trends this fall has been to pair cable knit sweaters with simple button downs. I love the classic, modest, and feminine look it gives an outfit! Plus–it is warm and comfy! I purchased this sweater from Old Navy recently, so it should still be available! My button down is also from Old Navy, and my statement necklace is from Tilly’s!

This has been my go-to look this fall. I have loved wearing plaid- and I love the look of a cute plaid shirt/flannel under a cardigan. I love to roll up the sleeves to give the outfit that feminine and girly touch! My cardigan is from Gap, my shirt from Rue21, my bag from TopShop, and my necklace from Prep Obsessed!

First of all-credit to my father for taking this shot! This photo was barely edited–this tree was just THAT beautiful. I love pairing a cute vest like this one from JCrew with skirts! I have never thought to pair a vest with a skirt, and I love how it goes with this pleated mini skirt from JCrew. My scarf is also from Prep Obsessed, and my top from Old Navy!

This vest has been my go to– as you can see. You can style a vest with so many outfits–and this is another way I chose to style it. I paired it with a button down from Old Navy with the same necklace from Prep Obsessed. I also chose to wear my favorite black ‘toothpick’ jeans from JCrew and my new favorite tan riding boots from Charlotte Russe!

HOCUS POCUS– need I say more?

Greys Anatomy–minus the fact that McDreamy is no longer with us–this show is just so addicting and dramatic!

My great-grandmother makes the BEST dressin’ (as I call it) stuffing (as others call it, cough, cough, JAKE). It rocks my world every year and I try to hold onto leftovers for a long time–although it doesn’t seem to appear in our fridge for very long!

Jake & I were BRUCE AND CAITLIN. HANDS DOWN BEST YET!
